Under 16's

U16 State Championships - 21 Sept to 24 Sept 2025  Brisbane (SHC)

Note - Brisbane Hockey Association advises that the U16 players and Officials will still accommodate together.  This decision has been made in the best interest of team performance and cohesion at the State Championships. In our experience, this system fosters camaraderie, team culture, and comparatively improved performance. Brisbane Hockey will do their very best to keep the cost minimal. The price will cover transport to and from the fields, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

• 4 trial sessions will be a mixture of games and drills/skills
• U16 2025 players' age eligibility....Players born 2009 & 2010
• Selections are based on attendance and performance and who is registered & playing in the BHA competitions.
• Nominations open 1 Jan 2025 and close 6 July 2025 @ midnight
• A $60 trial nomination fee will apply, helping cover BHA's turf hire and coaching costs. NOMINATE HERE!                                                                           

Revsports will require a 2 step authentication - Login with the player's National ID and Surname - Revsports will then send you an email for the next step.  

Brisbane Hockey Association will not be attending the U16 Coulter Shield in 2025.

Trail Sessions

1. July 13th - 9 am to 10.30 am @ SHC
2. July 20th - 9 am to 10.30 am @ SHC
3. July 27th - 9 am to 10.30 am @ SHC
4. August 3rd - 9 am to 10.30 am @ SHC

Brisbane Teams - will be released here after trials as per Section 11 Representative Program of the Competition Rules

After teams are released, a players' handbook with more information about the State Championships will be sent to all selected players.

Training Sessions

1. August 10th - 9 am to 10 am @ SHC
2. August 17th - 9 am to 10 am @ SHC
3. August 24th - 9 am to 10 am @ SHC
4. August 31st - 9 am to 10 am @ SHC
5. September 7th - 9 am to 10 am @ SHC
6. September 14th - 9 am to 10 am @ SHC

State Championships Cost: $TBC

Cost includes team accommodation, travel during the tournament, breakfast, packed lunches, dinners, training sessions, playing shirts & team photo. The above amount covers the player only - BHA covers the full cost of all Officials attending State Championships.

Post-game snacks - Managers may reach out to families to cover this to keep costs down.
