Schoolboys Cup

Welcome to the Schoolboys' Hockey Cup, an exciting annual competition dedicated to promoting the sport of hockey among schoolboys in Years 7 to 12. Since its inception in 2012, with the support of the Brisbane Hockey Association, this event has become a cornerstone of school-level hockey for boys in the greater Brisbane area.

Held every year during Term 3, the competition aims to foster a love for hockey, providing boys with the opportunity to learn the game, develop their skills, and proudly represent their schools. The primary goal is to nurture hockey talent at the grassroots level. The competition promotes inclusivity by encouraging schools to create teams that comprise both hockey players and those who do not play hockey. This approach fosters teamwork and collaboration across a diverse range of skills and experiences. This approach not only broadens the appeal of the sport but also helps build teamwork and camaraderie among students.
